MGA Continues Expansion into Canadian Market

First International Facility

MGA is pleased to announce the opening of our first international laboratory located in Ontario, Canada. This laboratory is located in the heart of the Greater Toronto Area. This facility marks the third major laboratory opened by MGA in various regions of North America in the last 4 years. In 2008, a laboratory was opened in Greer, South Carolina, while in 2010 a facility was opened in Manassas, Virginia. MGA is also in the final stages of commissioning a new laboratory in Irving, Texas. This facility is expected to be open in the near future. MGA has expanded into new geographic locations in an effort to provide MGA testing services locally to wider regions of North America. In regards to Canada, MGA currently has a number of Canadian based customers who utilize MGA’s US based laboratories. These customers will now have a local MGA facility which will result in more efficient and convenient services.

MGA-Mississauga Laboratory

The new facility, located in the City of Mississauga, is conveniently located at the intersection of Highways’ 401 and 410. The total size of the building is 43,000 sqft. The laboratory features over 5,000 sqft of T-slotted, high-mass, strong floor, a large centralized 400 gpm hydraulic pump, and various test capabilities well suited for a number of industries. Currently, approximately 1/3 of the available floor space is being used for key capabilities related to safety, durability, environmental, and quality related services. Similar to other MGA laboratories, future capabilities will be added when necessary to address the needs of the local customer base. These capabilities will be added in a collaborative approach within MGA with the laboratory personnel working directly with our equipment team to develop novel, state-of-the-art solutions to new requirements as they arise.
