Whether it be data recording, environment simulation/replication, or kinematic motion properties measurements, testing equipment plays an indispensable role in validation, quality, and research. Our extensive experience and inventory of ATDs offers MGA a unique advantage in renting equipment. Recognizing the importance of having agile solutions to testing needs, we now offer these services to support your changing needs.

Experience and Expertise

With over 45 years of testing experience, MGA has established both an extensive inventory of equipment as well as a wealth of knowledge on its usage and capabilities. Having this equipment as well as the background to use it allows us to rent both the equipment itself as well as lend our experience in its implementation.

With the ability to calibrate much of the equipment we provide in-house, we’re able to have faster turnaround times as well as easy record keeping. Because MGA is ISO 17025 accredited for calibration, we can quickly calibrate items for rental purposes or re-calibrate them as needed within a rental window.

Support and Implementation

ATDs are precision instruments that require the right expertise in order to be used to their full potential. With specific procedures for assembly, instrumentation, wiring, and tensioning, the validity of the test results is directly correlated to the proper execution of all procedures. Beyond providing physical equipment, we’re able to provide skilled personnel to assist with setup, repair or instrumentation services. As a service alongside our rentals, our ATD experts are able to assist with all requirements through remote guidance or onsite presence. Thanks to our in-house calibration laboratory, our staff is fluent in the latest requirements and methodologies related to the proper use of ATDs and their instrumentations.

Crash Test Dummies

 MGA has a fleet of over 100 ATDs ranging from CRABI 12mo to Thor 50^th Dummies. These dummies are owned, maintained, and qualified by MGA via our in-house Dummy Calibration center in Wisconsin. These ATDs can be provided as either ballast or instrumented depending on need.

Specialty Instrumentation

In addition to full ATD rentals, MGA also houses an inventory of instrumentation ranging beyond those needed for the standard injury channels. Often, this specialty instrumentation has long lead-times to purchase from the manufacturer. If additional instrumentation is needed for your ATD, we can service that request as well. Some examples include Iliac load cells, lumbar load cells, or lower leg instrumentation.
