As an independent testing laboratory network, our priority resides in the quality of the data we provide our customers. With 12 laboratories across North American continent, and a presence across multiple industries, MGA Research Corporation holds an inventory of testing equipment that requires NIST traceable calibration at least once a year, including hundreds of ATDs, chambers, force transducers, displacement transducers, data systems, and thousands of accelerometers.

In recent years, MGA has increased its efforts into expanding our in-house calibration capabilities in our Wisconsin operations. Capable of supporting accelerometers, force transducers, linear displacement, and ATDs, our Wisconsin calibration center has been a critical component to running smooth and un-interrupted operation while maintaining control of our tools. This approach has allowed us to provide more flexibility to our customers’ testing needs with improved optimization and efficiency. In an effort to bring more stability to the entirety of our network of laboratories and customers, we are now accredited through A2LA as an external calibration service provider.

Our Wisconsin Operations

Our metrology lab is located in MGA’s Vehicle Safety Center (VSC) building in Burlington Wisconsin. This dedicated facility, housed within our Wisconsin proving ground operations, adheres to strict temperature and humidity control. Our dedicated metrology personnel have successfully leveraged their testing background to identify the most reliable methodologies of calibrations as well as ways of extending the lifespan of our instrumentations. Similar to our equipment development philosophy, these benefits can only come from also being the end users of our own products and services.

Calibration Inventory

We’re currently outfitted with UTMs, an accelerometer shock calibration machine, an accelerometer frequency calibration machine, as well as a variety of reference standards accommodating different tolerances of linear displacement calibrations.  Our equipment selection was driven by identifying the “gold standards” and bringing these capabilities in-house.
