Starting in the early 1980s MGA began designing and fabricating equipment for the Automotive industry and soon after expanded into Aerospace, as well as Space and Defense equipment. As we continue to grow as a dynamic and responsive testing services and equipment supplier, we have significantly expanded our design and fabrication footprint in Akron, New York. Our new 42,000 ft2 state-of-the-art facility has dedicated machining, fabrication, and painting areas along with ample square footage to house our equipment inventory. In addition, our facility has room for future expansion with plans to outfit a full-service checkout area for completed projects.
Working with our local test facilities and our role in product development, we are able to identify the challenges faced by our customers and develop solutions through state of the art equipment solutions. The collaboration between machinists, fabricators, painters, designers, and engineers to develop equipment, is at the core of our philosophy. Through trials, and iterations, MGA produces innovative systems tested at our internal laboratories, and then made available to the industry.
Our associates, amassing decades of design and fabrication experience, are dedicated to providing industry-leading safety testing equipment for customers all over the world. We are able to fabricate equipment and test fixtures of almost any size and shape, building them in-house and providing on-site assembly throughout North America and beyond. Our production time and on site inventory allows us to respond quickly to our customer timelines.
Some notable examples of equipment built are:
- Full vehicle crash facilities
- Accelerator sled laboratories
- 3-Axis dynamic impact test systems with a variety of impactors
- Static seat anchorage/restraint test systems
- Static head restraint test systems
- Static rollover and side impact systems
- Fatigue/durability test systems
Our Equipment Group has designed and installed equipment for major Automotive & Aircraft OEMs as well as governmental agencies. We manufacture and install industry products from turn-key test facilities, industry-leading pyrotechnic shock simulation systems, to our battery testing enclosures that are constructed to safely contain failures of lithium-ion battery packs. Our new design and fabrication center is one of the premier facilities in North America for designing, developing, and building equipment. Through this expansion, we are able to provide even greater service and testing equipment to our customers well into the future.
