As the automotive industry looks for more economic locations for new manufacturing plants, Mexico experienced an automotive boom. With many of MGA’s legacy customers adding more international locations, our Texas team is dedicated to providing them with the proper technical knowledge and guidance for their validation needs. Stemming from our commitment to supporting our customers, we’ve regularly visited several of their Mexico locations.
Thus far, MGA has been providing support to the following locations:
Querétaro
Saltillo
Mexico City
Monterrey
San Luis
With efforts being led by Spanish-speaking engineers out of our Irving Texas facility, our proximity to Mexico has enabled the team to provide constant support to many manufacturers and suppliers in the region. With periodic visits, and the absence of language barriers, we are able to better understand the problems faced by our customers (I.e. part sourcing for validation, test lead times, and know-how offerings). This has allowed the team to pro-actively adapt to the industry needs, anticipate potential issues, and allow for a smooth validation process.
Common challenges faced by newer locations tend to be related to managing programs internationally, as well as reaching aggressive completion goals while remaining fiscally responsible. Through our customers point of contact, we are able to put our decades of experience at their disposal. Paired with a detailed program managing approach and a network of laboratories, our ability to meet tighter deadlines and consistent processes across the board has proven very valuable for our international customers.
The growth of the automotive industry in Mexico will continue to drive our outreach efforts, and capability expansions to better service that market. We are committed to growing our relationships, and providing quality testing services to all our customers (new & existing).
